The Apprenticeship Preparation

OLI is a 240-hour apprenticeship preparation program that prepares and helps connect you to a career in the union construction trades.

Enrollment and Graduation

During the eight week training students receive an introduction to the union and construction trades. Visit local unions and learn about what they do. Learn skills through great hands-on and in-classroom training. Graduate!

The Apprenticeship Connection

Work with OLI staff to apply for a union apprenticeship opportunity. Be supported by OLI staff throughout the application process. Receive continued support by OLI staff after successful job placement.

Career Opportunities in Construction

The Nassau-Suffolk Building and Construction Trades is comprised of over 30 different trade unions, many which will incorporate your skills and interests. Visit the trades page to learn more about potential opportunities.
